Guy decided that I should not return to my yoga class until after the baby is born. I protested until he reminded me that I had tripped over the same dog bowl three times in less than five minutes.

And he reminded me that I have to pull up onto the bed with help from him or one of the four posts.

And then he reminded me of the 12 pencils that he picked up off of the floor when he cleaned up the music studio last week. Because I dropped them and just left them there. Because it was easier than bending over to pick them up.

I suppose he has a point or two.

I hope you are taking pictures of yourself...You'll never believe you were ever that big! ----- COMMENT: AUTHOR:Anonymous Paige Jennifer DATE:Tuesday, January 8, 2008 at 12:43:00 PM EST You know...this whole being pregnant thing sounds AWESOME - no working out, no cleaning up and a green light to eat anything I want when I want. Sign me up! ----- COMMENT: AUTHOR:Anonymous Heather, Queen of Shake Shake DATE:Wednesday, January 9, 2008 at 10:45:00 AM EST Oh those last few weeks! I've been there twice....while it has its awessome-ness, I'd rather pick up my own pencils than stay that pregnant. The separated pubic bone, the constant backache, the getting up and down.

Hang in there....almost done! ----- COMMENT: AUTHOR:Anonymous Bubblewench DATE:Wednesday, January 9, 2008 at 2:05:00 PM EST I am sorry, but I'm laughing at you. It's all out of love. ----- -------- AUTHOR: Marty, a.k.a. canape TITLE: Nama-stay in the other class DATE: 9/11/2007 01:02:00 PM ----- BODY:
A new class. No more of my favorite Martha Stewart impersonating yoga instructor.

This morning was my first prenatal yoga class. I knew that it wouldn't be quite as demanding as my other class, but I didn't know how incredibly right I was.

We got in some good wrist stretches.

And mountain pose. A little tree pose if you felt like it.

And Savasana.

Don't get me wrong. I love me some Savasana. Usually though, it's nice to have broken a sweat before you get there.

I think I'm going to just have to go to both classes. I can't seem to give up my other one.

But hey. Did you notice how much better my typing is now that I've had a good wrist workout?

I'm with you, sister! I hate all those wussy pre-natal classes... that is, until I'm about eight and a half months, and so "beached" (as in WHALE) that I just can't struggle through the regular exercise classes without running the risk of turning-turtle and not being able to get back up on my own.

You just keep right on going with the class you LOVE, so long as you feel able to!! You'll know if you're overdoing it. The only two things to keep in mind are 1) not to over-heat yourself, and 2) don't lie on your back for any length of time, as the weight of the baby puts pressure on your circulatory system, and will stress sweet Little Bird.

I took serious ballet classes all throughout my first pregnancy, and yoga right through my third. When I was on bedrest with Child Number Two, I nearly went berzerk!!
