AUTHOR: Marty, a.k.a. canape TITLE: Haiku what was I saying again? DATE: 11/30/2007 11:48:00 PM ----- BODY:
Writing a birth plan
Guy's easily distracted
We need to finish.

Little Bird likes to
Kick along with the typing
Giving his input.

We are bad students
Not doing our birth homework
Until the last night.

Got the names of two
Guy's easily distracted
Doulas to check on.

When the day gets here
I know that he will be so
Very focused then.

Because that's just the way he is. Saving his energy for the real deal.

Sigh.

Less whiny haiku can be found here. And yes, I notice that it is 11:55 PM. No, I cannot possibly do this any later next week.

Learning to breathe properly comes in handy later, when they're toddlers. ----- COMMENT: AUTHOR:Anonymous Candygirlflies DATE:Saturday, December 1, 2007 at 8:51:00 AM EST Yay for doulas!!

Whether you get that birth plan done or not, you're going to be GREAT.

We had a birth plan all set and typed up and filed at the hospital when I had Child Number One, and we wound up just throwing it right out the window, anyway!! My doctor had fallen and broken her collar bone, and so her locum stepped in (he was splendid, btw) and the baby was born SO fast (1 hr, 30 minutes from start of labour to babe-in-arms) that I just wound up "winging it" and doing what felt best!!

All my birth experiences have been wonderful-- some more spontaneous than others!-- and I'm certain the Arrival of Little Bird will be sheer perfection, too.

Hugs to you-- hope you're well!
